OUR STORY
Thank you for stopping in. I’m Greg MacMackin.
I created MacMackin and Son to provide quality home repair, carpentry, and renovation services to the New River Valley because I’m happiest when fixing, building, working and helping my community in one way or another. Those are skills and values I first learned from my grandfather, who taught me the foundations of carpentry, brought me along to meet his clients and suppliers, and gave me my first “pay check” for working on his job sites as a kid.
Those days with him were my inspiration to join the Navy’s Construction Battalion as a Seabee, where I was formally trained in construction and carpentry. It was an honor to serve my country, and to experience other parts of the world - from Europe to Guam - while honing my discipline and construction skills in the military.
